Jamie Schler

Freelance writer specializing in food, family and culture, an American living in Europe for 25 years, my multi-cultural family and kitchen are the source and inspiration for both my cooking and my writing. My stories are told from the unique perspective of a food-passionate expat fully immersed in French culture, allowing readers to travel beyond their own borders, bringing them along on my culinary and cultural explorations.

Creative, unconventional and versatile, writing is my passion and I am always ready for the next writing challenge and inspiring collaboration. Known for my distinctive writing style and multi-cultural bent, I have spoken at or led workshops at many international conferences and cultural events and I am currently a writing instructor at the From Plate to Page workshop.

Having lived in both France and Italy, I am married to a Frenchman and we, along with our two sons, now call Nantes our home.
